With each year that passes, we add up to 300 Million tonnes of plastic waste to the already piled up a huge mountain of waste. It is estimated that about 10% or less than that is re-used or recycled, thus it is very important that we understand the environmental effects and re-use it.
Driven by this thought, 30 employees from the CEAT Chennai team came together to host an exciting green initiative where they upcycled waste plastic bottles and transformed it into bottle planters with a sapling, while some volunteers took these upcycled bottles home, others decorated their workstations and celebrated environment month with vigor and conscious efforts at other locations like Vasai, Worli, Thane and Bhandup too.
